Kenny Rogers cancels retirement tour dates due to 'health challenges'

Kenny Rogers' prolonged goodbye has ended abruptly after “health challenges” caused the final dates of his retirement tour to be cancelled.
Rogers has been taking The Gambler’s Last Deal tour, presented as his last, on the road since 2016, but has cancelled the eight remaining dates, including an appearance at Blackpool's Livewire Festival in August.
In a statement, his management said the 79-year-old singer was "working through a series of health challenges."
"His doctors fully expect the outcome to be great," they added, but said he had been advised to cancel his commitments "to focus on recuperation".
