Silver Liming Foundation Volunteers Hand Out Treats to Clean-up Utility Crews

By TAPINTO BERKELEY HEIGHTS STAFF

BERKELEY HEIGHTS, NJ - Silver Liming Foundation members provided out of state visitors with treats to spread kindness.

Berkeley Heights has many out of state visitors this week, most of whom are utility workers and first responders helping after Tuesday’s storm.  Friday, a few Silver Liming Foundation members walked through the center of town spreading kindness to our visiting workers.

Candy bars and salty treats were purchased, and hand delivered by Rosie, a therapy dog, and three of her furry friends. Piper, age 2, was also helping to spread kindness.

The smiles on the faces of Berkeley Heights’ working guests were priceless.  One worker said, “This is the first time anyone has given me anything in years.”  As the volunteers walked away, humbled, the worker ran to them with a smile, once again thanking the Silver Liming team for making him feel at home while on the road. This kind gesture filled the hearts of the volunteers, and served as a reminder that everyone can do something to spread kindness. Look at the smiles on the faces of the recipients...they are contagious!

Silver Liming Foundation is a non-profit located in Berkeley Heights, NJ.
